Welcome to True Waters
My name is KeShawn Waters and I am a senior Mathematics major at Rust College. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Mathematics has allowed me to approach complex problems with logical reasoning and structured solutions.
I have gained knowledge in algebra, calculus, statistics, and number theory. My academic experiences have prepared me to analyze data, solve problems, and think strategically in professional environments.
My goal is to pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering where I can apply mathematical concepts to real-world challenges.
This portfolio highlights my academic achievements, mathematical projects, competencies, and career goals as I prepare to enter the professional workforce.
A Little About Me
I am currently completing my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at Rust College. During my time in college, I have strengthened my ability to think critically, analyze information, and solve mathematical problems efficiently.
Mathematics has helped me develop patience, precision, and persistence when solving difficult problems. I enjoy working with numbers, identifying patterns, and finding logical solutions.
Through coursework such as calculus, statistics, algebra, and number theory, I have learned how mathematics applies to real-world situations such as technology, finance, engineering, and research.
I am a motivated individual who is committed to continuous learning and professional growth. I plan to use my mathematics background to contribute to organizations that value analytical thinking and problem-solving.

Academic Achievements
I graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA, finishing in the top 50 of my class. Despite earning this strong academic standing, I overcame significant adversity and personal challenges to maintain that level of performance. My hard work and perseverance allowed me to earn a full-ride scholarship to Rust College, where I initially pursued my dream of becoming a civil engineer while discovering my passion for mathematics and transitioning to earn a Mathematics degree before Civil Engineering. Leaving home and adjusting to a new environment presented its own set of obstacles, but through determination I was accepted into the E.A. Smith Honors Program. Throughout my college career, I have continued to earn numerous academic awards, scholarships, and recognition for maintaining a strong GPA while remaining among the top students in my class. Even through the ups and downs of college life, I have consistently maintained a GPA around 3.4, which has opened doors to additional scholarships, honors, and valuable professional opportunities. My academic journey reflects not only strong performance in the classroom, but also resilience, growth, and a commitment to excellence.
